You may have landed here after purchasing a product from Sweet Ginger Designs. If so, you should find answers to the common questions that sent you here below. But you can use the contact form, if you don’t find all you need.
LAYERS – My PDF file has layers, how do I use them?
We use layers in some of our PDF files to provide options for how the product can be printed. This short video provides an example:
BOOKMARKS – How do I use the Bookmarks in my PDF file for printing?
We add bookmarks to all large PDF files and other PDF files where the user might need info to allow them to print specific sections of the document rather than printing all the pages. We used to include tables in the instructions detailing what was on which pages. It seems easier, and less prone to error, to generate the bookmarks with the information as the files are being developed. This short video shows an example of using bookmarks:
FILL-ABLE PDF FIELDS – How do I change the font style, size and color?
You can access the Form Field Text Properties by pressing CTRL-E (or CMD-E). You must have the text highlighted when you do so in order for the properties box to be displayed. Once you have it displayed, it stays active if you move to another field. You may change the font to any you have installed on your computer, change the color, and change the size (within the limitations of the text box size). Most fields are defined to be a single line of text. I do allow some larger fill-able fields to be multi-line when possible. All fill-able PDF fields in Sweet Ginger Design products are set up to allow the user to personalize the fonts. Non-Sweet Ginger Design PDFs with fill-able fields may not.
