With Christa, the Christmas Elf with a Plan – 24 December

Happy Christmas Eve!
We’ve made it to Christa’s last End of Year Planning Tip. Tip #24 is to celebrate your progress over the past year. I suppose tomorrow morning, she’ll have vanished. She’s certainly kept me on my toes for the last 24 days.
A Christmas Reflection on Progress and Grace
Christmas Eve is the perfect time to pause, reflect, and find gratitude in the journey we’ve taken this past year. After the work we’ve put into using our planners more effectively, the Christmas season offers us an opportunity to celebrate the progress we’ve made – not only in organizing our time, but in aligning our days with our goals, values and purpose.
Progress in our planning isn’t measured by perfectly checked-off task lists or beautifully decorated pages. It’s found in even the smallest wins: prioritizing what truly matters, remembering to schedule time for rest and simply using your planner more consistently. Planning is about growth, not perfection. It is a reflection of grace in action – the grace to start again after a chaotic week, to adapt to plans that change, and to celebrate each step forward.
As we remember the birth of Jesus Christ, we’re reminded of the ultimate gift of grace. His birth was the fulfillment of God’s plan to bring hope, love and redemption into the world. Just as God’s plan unfolded with purpose and intention, we are called to live with purpose in our lives. Our planners are tools that help us manage the time we’ve been given and enable us to focus on what matters most.

So tonight, take a moment to reflect on the blessings of this year. Celebrate the ways you’ve grown in using your planner to bring order and clarity to your life. And celebrate the greatest blessing of all: the birth of Jesus Christ, who reminds use that no matter how imperfect our plans may be, we are always held in His perfect grace.
Let’s carry this spirit of gratitude and hope forward into the new year. May your plans in the coming year be filled with intention, your heart with peace and your life with joy.
Merry Christmas!
Linda
