It’s November and the new year is just around the corner. If you are like me, you’re hoping to be more organized and intentional in 2026. Finding the right planner is the place to start. One of the Sweet Ginger Designs 2026 printable planners may be just what you are looking for.
Inspiration Behind the 2026 Planners
I design my planners to be a framework that provides structure yet allows you to adapt the pages to be what you need personally. The 2026 planners are designed to be a canvas on which you can create your plans and capture precious moments. You can keep it minimalist or dress up the pages with stickers, washi tapes or whatever inspires you.
Meet the Current 2026 Planner Lineup
Currently, there are four printable planners for 2026 in the shop. Three are classic size (7” x 9 ¼”) planners in different weekly formats – dashboard, horizontal and vertical. The fourth planner is a full page (8 ½” x 11”) horizontal layout planner.
All the formats have some common features:
- Cover page
- 2026 Calendar
- 2027 Calendar
- For each month:
- Monthly planning page , with space for:
- Goals/Priorities
- Important Dates
- Future Log/To Plan
- Notes area
- 2-page monthly calendar
- 4 (or 5) 2-page weekly spreads
- Month in review page, with space for :
- Things that worked well

- Do less of
- Best memories/Note worthy
- Monthly planning page , with space for:
All planner PDF files are bookmarked to enable easy printing of the planner, month-by-month. All printable planners come with printable notes PDF files and instructions for printing dot grid, lined, or grid formatted pages.
Classic Size Planners
The three classic size printable planners are identical with the exception of the layout of the 2-page weekly spreads. In addition to the pages listed above, these planners include a 2026 Goals/Tasks by month page and a 2027 Future Log. It can be used to start capturing information for planning the next year.
The classic sized printable planners come with 4 separate PDF files. There are 2 files containing weekly pages that begin on Sunday. And there are 2 files containing weekly pages that begin on Monday. Likewise, there are 2 files that will print perfectly on paper that is already sized at 7” x 9 ¼”. There are 2 other files that will print perfectly on 8 1/2“ x 11” (US Letter) pages and require only 2 edges be trimmed. Or to say it more simply, you can print a Sunday-start version or a Monday-start version on either classic sized or US Letter size paper.
2026 Weekly Dashboard Classic Planner (7” x 9 ¼”)
The 2026 Weekly Dashboard Classic Planner contains all the common pages described previously. The 2-page weekly spreads are laid out with a weekly dashboard view on the left and spaces for each day of the week on the right.
The dashboard includes sections for listing tasks for the week, noting important information, capturing notes for any future plans, and recording general notes. The dates for the week are printed at the top of each dashboard page – i.e. “Week of January 5 – 11”.
The right-hand page is divided into 2 columns and 4 rows, making 8 sections. The first section is set up to record information each day. I could be used for meal planning, habit tracking, work hours tracking, etc. The other 7 sections are labeled with the day of the week and the day (number) of the month.
2026 Weekly Horizontal Classic Planner (7” x 9 ¼”)
The 2026 Weekly Horizontal Classic Planner contains all the common pages described previously. The 2-page weekly spreads are laid out with 1 column of 4 rows on each side of the layout. The month appears at the top left of the left-hand page. The first 4 days of the week appear on the left-hand side, the last 3 days of the week appear on the right hand side. Each daily section includes the day of the week and the day (number) of the month. The bottom row on the right-hand page is labeled for “Notes”.
2026 Weekly Vertical Classic Planner (7” x 9 ¼”)
The 2026 Weekly Vertical Classic Planner contains all the common pages described previously. The 2-page weekly spread consists of 1 full-length column and 3 columns with 4 rows or the left-hand page. The right-hand page has 4 columns of 4 rows
The month appears at the top of the full-length column on the left-hand page. The other 7 columns across both pages are labeled with the day (number) of the month and the day of the week. The full-length column is unformatted and ready for use in any way you choose. I find the vertical format the most flexible format. I often reallocate sections of the rows to create sections. I use these sections for tasks/tracking/notes related to a project I’m working on throughout the week or to bring together my daily gratitude or reflection.
2026 Minimalist Planner (8 ½” x 11”)
The 2026 Minimalist Planner was originally designed as a teacher’s planner. Therefore, the design is a horizontal format with Monday through Friday having more space allocated than Saturday and Sunday. Monday through Friday have 7 additional columns across the spread with space for headers – 3 on the left page and 4 on the right. Saturday is a single block that runs across the width of the left page. Sunday is in the same position on the right page.
The 2026 Minimalist Planner is unique because it has fillable fields. For example, you can set your own headers for the 7 vertical columns on the weekly spread. You can even choose the font style, size and color. Form fields are also provided to allow you to title notes pages.
The yearly calendar page in the main PDF file displays 2026 and 2027 on a single page. There is a separate file that provides these yearly calendars on separate pages, if preferred. A separate file is provided to creative Future Log or Goals/Tasks layouts by month. This file contains fillable forms for the title, months/sections and entries under each of the 12 sections. This format makes a nice Birthdays & Anniversaries calendar. There are lots of other ways to use this layout. For example, a gift planning/tracking list with names in the month fields and ideas or purchases listed underneath.
Using These Printable Planners
Any of these printable planners could be the one that will fill your needs for a 2026 planner. The choice comes down to:
- The amount of information you need to have in your weekly spread
- how you like to plan and record your weeks and days
- How you manage your task list
- Other planners or accessories you use
To try and give you some comparison and highlight some of the flexibility in some layouts, I created sample pages in each format. To be consistent and fair, I asked AI to provide me with a weeks worth of planner entries for a fictitious woman I called Laura. She owns a pottery studio and her husband, James, manages an electronics store. They have 2 children: Jacob is in the 8th grade and enjoys basketball and scouting, Lily is in the 3rd grade and takes both piano and ballet lessons. I was provided with a list of daily activities for Laura, Jacob and Lily. James only appeared in the list as joint or coordinated activities. It did include the meal plans, but not the gratitude, reflection, notes or habit tracking you may see as I filled empty spaces in a couple of the examples.
For each format, I prepared a “pen only” version. No added decoration – just the basic printed page and a pen. For all except the Classic Weekly Dashboard layout, I created versions with some degree of decoration. I apologize for not having beautifully legible handwriting. (In my own planner, if I can read what I wrote it’s good enough.) Yes, my handwriting is a little larger in the full size planner than in the classic planners.
If felt the list of planner entries filled the Classic Weekly Dashboard with little room for much else. Some of the entries were more verbose than perhaps I would have written them if they were part of my own typical activities that appeared again and again in my planner. Most of us adapt to some type of shorthand for those frequently repeated events.
I had a hard time finding much more for embellishment on the Classic Horizontal Weekly layout, as well. I did do an example where I used skinny stickers I had to break the horizontal sections into columns for morning, afternoon and evening. Using a dot marker instead of a stencil for boxes or circles for the lists, tool up less space.
You will likely suspect that I use the Classic Vertical Weekly layout most often personally. You are right to do so. I found I had to keep reminding myself to use only my pen on the first one. Then when I started the second one, I jumped right in and redefined the lower sections and pulled out the stickers and washi tape.
Hopefully, these will give you some ideas about how you might use each format.
What Makes Sweet Ginger Designs Planners Special
I create my printable planners in Adobe InDesign. This enables me to design the pages so that they will print perfectly back-to-back. I design each planner or insert for the specific planner page size. I do not use scaling as a shortcut. For the classic size planners (7” x 9 ¼”), I create files that will print to pre-cut sheets as well as US Letter (8 ½” x 11”). I take the necessary steps to do this in a way that minimizes the trimming needed to resize the page. (The easy way (for me) would require all 4 edges to be trimmed (by the user). However, I do the extra design work so that only 2 edges need to be trimmed.)
Every Sweet Ginger Designs product comes with detailed instructions. These instructions cover printing, trimming, and using the features of the files. For some instructions, I even provide short videos. You can print them from home or take the files to the print shop in your local office supply store. There’s even instructions for printing the files back-to-back even if your printer does not have duplex capability. (Check out my instructions for printing duplex on a non-duplex printer here.)
